9.10 upgraded to 10.04 get rid of title bar

I have just upgraded my UNR 9.10 to UNR 10.04 but i now have the window title bars duplicated, one on the window switcher applet and the normal bars (disabled by deafault in 9.10)

how do i get rid of the default bars that eat up my precious screen real estate?
