I have installed compiz on my Ubuntu Netbook Remix 10.04 installation, and have set Appearance->Visual Effects to Normal. I have not installed any compiz fusion plugins due to my poor netbook graphics card, but I have installed CCSM to handle the regular compiz plugins.

My only problem with doing this is with the application switcher plugin (the window changer when alt+tab is pressed). When no visual effects are turned on, UNR provides a nice, simple window switcher which displays only small icons of the open programs.

When I switch to 'Normal' visual effects, pushing alt+tab does nothing, and the only way I can have any alt+tab functionality is by enabling the Application Switcher plugin in CCSM, which is a more robust plugin.

My question: is there any way I can enable the 'Normal' visual effects and still use the default UNR application switcher?
