Revert back to simple desktop view?

Hello

Just upgraded to Lucid (UNR) and found the default setting pictured below not suitable. How can I revert back to my simple desktop view that I had previously with my Places folders displayed? Thanks :)

When you login, at the screen you type your password, there are options on the bottom bar to select what kind of session you want to start. Pick the GNOME desktop for a more traditional looking one.
