Hi
I was using the 9.10 version of Ubuntu, and everything was ok. So I decided to update to 10.04, by update manager, and it not works pretty well. So I decided to reinstall my ubuntu.
In my PC I also have a instalation of Windows XP, my father and sister uses it.
The installation went well, no problems, Lucid Lynx is working fine.
But in the grub screen, if you choose Win XP, the CPU starts to whisthle continuously, and the only thing you can do is restart.
I have been reading about it, but do not find the exactly same problem.
I have posted a thread in a portuguese forum (im from Brasil) and have no good responses.
