Hello Folks!:P

Browser FF within 10.04 suffers some kind of dilemma!

Despite of giving it a shutdown(The X), it continues to stay in the Task bar with "Starting Firefox Web Browser".

I cannot invoke it since it continues to remain stick with Task bar!

Anyone facing the same issue!?:(

I have a similar problem. Firefox won't shutdown completely and therefore I can't start it again.

Trying to restart results in a message saying that Firefox is already running.

This has happened to me with Ubuntu 9.10 and 10.04 but never with earlier versions.

Mozilla suport - this didn't help me but it might help you...

Hi Strossel!

What I would suggest(& this is what I have done) is to switch your default browser to Google Chrome. It is 'Blitzkrieg' when compared to FF in every aspect. Shoots in so quickly & sails fine like a 'Breeze' through web pages!

I'll try Google Chrome, but my internet bank only supports Firefox and IE.

And that last one is not an option. [-(
