View Full Version : Is Adblock necessary with NoScript?

Since NoScript disables JavaScript, doesn't that take care of the ads without using anything else? Yet I often see them mentioned in tandem, as in "I run NoScript + AdBlock, therefore AWESOMENESS!!!!1!!11!11!!1!!!"

BTW, I don't really mind static images on sites, it's the flashing-pop-ups-that-play-music that really annoy me. Maybe some want to eliminate all trace?

I only run Flash blocker. It gets rid of all the annoying stuff for me.

I use both, because if you allow a site to run all scripts from NoScript, it won't block any adds. So using both gives more flexibility. Besides, AdBlock can block video adds, which I believe NoScript cannot do, if you want to view the real video.
