So for some reason I decided to upgrade my 8.04 machine to 8.10. I let it do its thing and would come back every once in a while to click the ok button to let it continue. Well I had kinda forgot about it and when I came back my computer went to sleep and wouldn't wake up. So I decided to pull to brilliant move and shut it down. Now it won't boot. I've tried to boot with the earlier OS options offered on boot up and they won't work either. Can I save this or am I completely screwed?

its ok to mess up things at first.... you can start over again.
you can save your files using the live cd.. and then install all over again
