Hi

I just upgraded from 9.10 to lucid lynx and no my drives are no longer visible in genome places menu or nautilus places menu.

I can manually mount them via a console via the mount command and they then appear but they should be auto detected.

When I connect an external drive or mp3 player they too are not detected and have to be manually mounted.

When I start the disk utility's program or click on "computer" in my places tab they hang for about 20 seconds before displaying. disk utility's displays no devices just a blank white box.

When I login the computer also hangs for about 20 seconds before displaying the genome panel.

Something is wrong somewhere. Maybe the programs that detects the drives is not working properly.

Any ideas?
