I just love nonspecific titles. You never can tell what the person is talking about before you actually click on the link. This section of the post is put here so you can't take a peak of what's actually inside by placing your cursor over the title of the post. So, blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah. And that should cover the rest of the preview.

Anyway, I love junk food, and I just got a new one. Pocky! They are chocolate dipped sticks. I'm not sure what they taste like though, or what the sticks are made out of. But my dad got them from a co-worker who is from japan. Oh, about that title, my dad used to make frequent trips to japan for business. One time he brought me back some candy balls. They were fruit flavored ball-shaped candies, I really liked them, but I have no idea what they are, and neither does my dad, we threw away the bag. Does anyone know what type of candy this is?

Eventually people will just stop clicking on a thread if they see your name next to it.

@CharlesA

Yes it is. I'm eating one now. What I like about it:
It's not milk chocolate.
It's a stick with chocolate on it.
It tastes good.

Can you eat the stick, or is it wood?

It seems to be a biscuit based stick.

Just finishing up this quarter at school. I had to do a bunch of cramming for finals. I just have one left to take tomorrow afternoon.

Ah, you think so? I actually never tried them until yesterday. I really like them. I especially like that cute puppy thing that hangs onto your bag. It seems to only be in japan right now though. Luckily I got them from a co-worker of my dad's who is from japan and brought them back. Pretty neat.

My sister has a friend who went to Japan, and he brought backa bunch and gave some to my sister. I liked them, but to be honest I didn't think they were anything specical.

Are they called Mikado (http://www.chockies.net/WebRoot/StoreLFR/Shops/62049378/47CD/D96C/7922/8B35/0B82/D5C1/1612/B702/mikado_0020_dark_0020_chocolat.jpg) perhaps in other parts of the world? If so, I can confirm they're something really good ;)

PS: yes, they are (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pocky) :P

They sell it here at a totally awesome store called World Market. I agree with RiceMonster, it's OK.

They sell it at the local Kroger's in the ethnic food section... And in many bookstores I've seen. Also I went to Columbus (OH) and found a World Market that sold more varieties of Pocky! :D

Anyone ever had the Japanese soda, Ramune? It's amazing! :p

By the way. Does the "Pocky dog" have a name? My box is actually from japan, and it has a "box-dog". It has little arms that hang onto things. Even though I prefer cats to dogs, I think that this is pretty cute looking. I think there is a name, but I can't read it.

I don't see how Pocky would be any better than the chocolate covered pretzels you can get anywhere.

You have to take into account the weeaboo factor

Those look better because of the sprinkles and such.

Pretzels. If you've ever worked in a place where they make them, it makes you nervous about eating them.

I've never liked them anyway, but still.

You can always put chocolate gravy over biscuits.

Exactly. The number of otas in the community cafe is kinda funny.

Anyway, Pocky is overrated. I prefer pretz and yin yan.

Those Japanese snacks sound great. I shall have to give them a try among other things if I go.

Pocky is awesome.

Domo cookies are even better, texture like a fortune cookie (can't think of a better description) but flat, almond flavor and a layer of chocolate on one side.

Not really. We had pasta spirals, a simple home-made sauce (was missing something but Mrs Lisati says she liked it), and grilled crumbed fish cakes.
