And none of the links on the front page point to them seemingly! That's why I said empty.

Not being funny, but if I want to read Phoronix articles, I will go to their site. Just taking their content and placing it on your site doesn't really make me want to come back.

Additionally, I find your signature quite awful, given it implies you're wishing for the demise of Windows users and William Gates.

1. A blog without content is worthless. If you haven't had any ideas or impulses for constructive content beforehand, a blog is a fun project, but don't push it whatsoever. Be useful.

2. Normally, I wouldn't criticize you for having invalid markup. Invalid markup isn't automatically a mark against you, but jeez, it's terrible. The W3C validator is a great debugger. For a small site, you shouldn't have more than maybe 15 errors/warnings, and I'm being modest.

3. The theming shows no continuity with technology or software. Even a neutral theme would be fine, but a waterfall? What does that have to do with anything?

4. Guestbook. It's not the 90's. Get rid of it.

The thing about making your own web site is that not everyone will be interested. Some might not even like it! :(

Mine started as a half-baked idea about providing ftp facilities for family and friends, but I ended up going in a different direction with it. And thanks to the occasional link (http://lisati.myftp.org) in the forums and a couple of other places, I get a small amount of traffic.

If you're stuck for ideas for content, be open to flashes of inspiration while you're browsing the forums.

I have a problem. i uploaded some unique articles but when i google them i can't find them, my site is indexed in google because when i search my site name in google it finds IT! Help from everyone is appreciated!

The best way would be to dynamically generate a sitemap and then ping google to notify them of the sitemap update.
