View Full Version : New Iceweasel Icon

Hi there, last time I updated Iceweasel, I received a message claiming that developers were looking for a new Icon for Iceweasel, as the actual was pretty similar in small sizes to another icon, from a program I can't remember now :/. Well, there was a link to their mailing list, but I did not take note of it. I created this clean, tangoish icon for it. I would really appreciate if someone directs me in the right direction to make it available to the Iceweasel team.

I would highly appreciate any suggestion as well :).

That is quite nice. My only opinion is that there should be slightly more globe and less weasel.

(Currently using Iceweasel btw :) )

Mmmm, could be... thankfully it's a pretty easy change :D. Maybe less tail? because the top area would look too small :/

Perhaps wrap the tail around the bottom, so the globe sticks out.

I like that a lot. Very clean looking. I do not know any developers, but perhaps check if they have a mailing list or ask on Debian IRC/Mailing list.

Edit: Perhaps have the tail end at the top so it seems like lopsided. It is great though, even the original. (Just firing my opinions at you)

hahaha, that was the idea actually, to make it look like "covering the whole network", and keeping the circular aestetic (It is actually a circle, with a bite :P ). But I like the second version the most, the bigger globe helps a lot on smaller sizes to make the icon stand out a bit more.

I really appreciate your feedback :)

Hmm.... I like it. You should save it in svg though. I think the debian team would appreciate that. ;)

Oh, don't worry, it is :). I post it in png here for practical reasons :). Anyway... I haven't been able to contact them... the links posted by harlan seem to be long dead now :/ (last entry is from 2006... ).

I am trying to find the correct mailing list to post this, but there are a lot and none seem related to artwork...
