See post #4 for full details on how to get it working.

i downloaded both the .iso files from here:
http://www.sizzledcore.com/2009/10/29/download-live-android-0-3/#more-6307

put them together with the 'cat' command in ubuntu and created a bootable flash drive with unetbootin.

i rebooted and configured my bios to boot from the flash drive. i got to the boot screen of Live Android but nothing more.

i have googled around some but there is not a lot of obvious documentation on it. can someone here help me out with this?

i am going to work on it some more tonight and i will post if i figure it out.

Unless you have a touchscreen, I don't think it would run very well.

I am running an Acer Aspire One D250 for reference.

I downloaded the file from here (under stable release>android-x86-1.6-r2.iso, the first option under that category):

http://www.android-x86.org/download

after that i used unetbootin to create a bootable flash drive and booted from it.

i selected the "boot without installtion" option when it came up.

the splash screen is freaking SWEET! the actual OS is pixelated and somewhat unusual to navigate with a mouse but the keyboard works nicely. i was not able to get the network working. i am going to play with it some more and maybe get some screenies if i can. ill keep you all posted. you should also try this and see if you can figure out anything else.
