Burned Ubuntu CD problem

1. Burned Ubuntu 10.04 to CD
2. Restarted
3. Computer doesn't boot from CD for some reason
4. Computer displayed CD as blank
5. Bring CD to computer 2 and it sees all the files on it just fine.
6. Pop CD back in computer 1 and it shows it as a blank CD again!
7. Burnt it to other CDs incase that one was defective. Same results above.
Note: Computer 1 reads ALL CDs with normal accuracy EXCEPT any burnt Ubuntu CD. It also boots just fine off the Windows Recovery CD (Was testing ability to boot). How come it boots off one cd just fine and not another? Computer 2 will boot off the Ubuntu CD as well. I don't want and can't have it on computer 2 though. Must be on computer 1. Can someone help me please?

I have two options that could help remedy your issue possibly:

1. Take CD to computer 2 and create a bootable USB install disk to then take back and install on computer 1
2. If your computer doesn't support booting from USB drives or don't have a USB key lying around, then I may suggest swapping a CD drive fron another system. Of course this option takes more time and will only work with a desktop.

Good luck! Sorry, couldn't think of any other way... I guess you could do a network install, but I don't know how to do that or how to set that up. Plus it probably takes a heck of a lot more work.

How do I do the USB method with windows? Someone point me in the right direction?
