Did you look at wikipedia? Wikipedia knows all, we need to bow to it.

There are issues with all those lists, however. They almost always use the 'correct' archeaological dates, which can be a long way out. They will only take 'hard' evidence, and once you go back to pre-3,000 BCE its getting very hard to find a lot of the things made from perishable materials.

so you can have situations where there is evidence for a fairly complicated technology, but no evidence for simpler, related technologies.

Example, from that wiki list-

60,00 years- bow.
6,000 years- bow drill.

If it took 54,000 years for someone to 'get' the bow drill, then I'm a monkeys uncle (and not his nephew LOL).

Also, sometimes there are problems with people being given ceredit for inventions yhey 'tradionally' made (eg pythagorean theorem to Pythagoras, even though there is hard evidence that the babylonians knew about it at least 1000 years before Pythagoras was even born)

*edit- great minds think alike, eh? Hopefully we have great minds :P

Wikipedia is not very reliable

Of course it is, don't listen to all the school teachers and university professors that claim you can mess wikipedia up until it's screwed beyond redemption.
