Hello all,

I have a Huawei E220 usb modem and i just need to check if the modem is fine or not cause I cannot connect to the vodaphone network cause i use Airtel a different service provider.

I use ubuntu 10.04 btw

The way i check it

In Windows :

I go to device manager and right click on the E220 usb modem, then properties, then Diagnostics tabs, click on Query modem .. that dosent give any results.

Ubuntu ??

i need to confirm how can we check this in ubuntu.

i did lsusb and it showed the modem there in the list, but im not sure if thats the way to check.

Please guide.
