No puedo conectarme a Eth0

Logre instalar Ubuntu 10.04 LTS, pero no se conecta a la Eth0 mediante cable de red a un Router D-link DI-524 con DHCP activo, si le doy de forma manual la direccion IP al PC se conecta a la red pero no da salida a inet...

Alguna idea???

can you post the result of cat /etc/resolv.conf.

after you manually add your ip , and configure the net using the Network Manager, then this file would contain information about the network you have just set up. Post that output, (after you have setup your connection), the contents of this file are temporary , and it's contents are rewritten whenever you use the Network Manager to configure a network connection.
