Is there any way to get some transparency in this part? I have compiz installed and I'm using an emerald theme. Thanks

Yes, it is possible.

I would take a look at this post from the Ubuntu Wiki: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DesktopTeam/RgbaGtkWithPPA/

Ah. Unfortunately, there is only one solution I can think of. Take a look at my post from another thread...

Thanks for all your help, i have played with the full windows opacity but in order to get the amount of opacity i would like with my dark theme the rest of the windows is almost completely transparent. Is there anyway to limit it to just the toolbar? Well i think it's called the tool bar.

Hey, you can make the tool bar transperent

Just right click the task bar >> select properties >> on the Display >> minimize the scale that you get there and then the task bar will be transperent.
