Hi..

Need some help with something. I currently have dual boot (xp and ubuntu). Grub shows "Windows Vista (loader)" in my selection list in grub. I think this may be because the computer I bought (Hp mini netbook) might have been configured for vista, but I ordered it with xp so they just stripped vista down to xp..? maybe.

My question is.. I want to uninstall ubuntu 9.10 and go back to just xp so I can then do a fresh install of ubuntu 10.04. However, the approach I found that I was going to try was using easyBCD and it only provides an option to restore the vista mbr (boot loader) after I remove ubuntu. Given that my grub is saying "vista loader", does that mean that my xp OS is already using the vista boot loader and I should be ok using the vista mbr boot loader to launch xp after removing ubuntu?

I don't have a xp disk and I don't want to get stuck with a computer that I can't boot windows or ubuntu on.

HELP .. PLEASE!!

Thanks
