System Crashes in ubuntu 10.04

I upgraded not so long ago from version 9.10 to 10.04.
What never happened before then started. I have system crashes all the time.
When I play Solitaire, use Firefox and copy files.

I use ubuntu now for several years (at least since 8.04) and I never had a system crash before.
I have a P5P800SE motherboard, a celeron 3.06 GHz processor and use 512 MB of memory.
Ubuntu is installed under windows XP professional version 2002 service pack 3.

Can somebody please help me. If not I will return to version 9.10 and wait for version 10.10.

has it given you any error codes? 10.04 is LTS and i would think it should work for you...i guessing you did upgrade to 10o4 and if so that has been known to give some grief. myself i did the dance from 8o4 to 10o4, but end the end i went with fresh.

Maybe, instead of Wubi, you should dual-boot ;)
