How do I save my screen resolution settings in lubuntu? Every single time I boot up the settings will revert to the default `1280x1024 and I manually have to go in and change it. I prefer using 1024x780.It's not hard to change, of course, but I don't think I should have to?!

How do I disable that very, very annoying windows switcher whenever I scroll my mouse wheel?

To answer your second question you should be able to disable the windows switch through obconf. (I believe you can access it by right clicking on the desktop)

To answer your first question
i encountered the same problem a while ago. the problem was that my graphic card was too old and was not properly supported on unbuntu or windows either.
it made display shakes a lot on both the ubuntu and windows.
so i just changed my graphic card and the problem was gone.

you should also go to system >> administration >> hardware drivers.

i am not Linux expert. what i said is based upon my personal experience.

Thanks for the replies, but neither one of these will work fin lubuntu.

I know my graphics card is fine too. Every other distro I've tried works flawlessly and would always saves my monitor settings. Just not s[the case in lubuntu.

Your screen resolution problems honestly could be because of the Beta quality of lxde in its current form.
