I am using 9.10 netbook remix and it only offers the 10.04 LTS upgrade option.
Can I upgrade it to the 10.04 netbook edition instead?

look when you press upgrade, it only upgrades what you have installed.
make sure to back up your important stuff, upgrades are always a 50/50 chance it will go wrong, there are a lot of changes between releases, which is why a fresh install is always recommended, old settings can cause chaos if the program no longer does settings the same way.
do a search of the forums & you'll see the number of people who've been boned by the updates, then end up doing a fresh install or returning to 9.10.
so backup your stuff, have a installer ready & take your chance, you could be a winner. :)
