Job Description :
Software/firmware developer needed for embedded platforms running Linux and OS9

Duties:
. Develop and maintain cross-platform embedded real-time traffic control applications running on Linux and OS-9
. Provide support to production & testing
. Develop and maintain device drivers under Linux and OS-9
. Provide support to tech services, training, and tech writers
. Maintain Linux system images or kernels on MPC8270- or MPC83xx-based hardware
. Maintain OS-9 system images or boot code on MC68360 and MC68302

Essential skills :
. Linux operating system, preferably in a real-time environment
. Programming languages / skills - C and C++, application development for embedded real-time systems
. Tools - Eclipse, Kdevelop, or similar IDE for Linux development
. Self-motivated with good communication skills

Preferred skills/experience:
. OS-9 68k operating system
. Communication protocols (TCP/IP, SNMP, NTCIP)
. Shell scripting
. Perl
. CGI
. HTML
. knowledge of or interest in traffic systems
. Real-time application development under Linux
. Real-time application development under OS-9
. Linux device drivers on PPC/PowerQUICC II architecture
. Linux kernel on same, OS-9 68K drivers on 68K/QUICC architecture
. OS-9 68K kernel on same
. tools - source code control -- Perforce, ClearCase, etc
. Hawk IDE for OS-9 development
. Valgrind
. Gimpel PC Lint/FlexeLint

Requires BS Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent and 5+ years relevant experience.
