XYZComputing has published an article that describes building a PVR (personal video recorder) based on Ubuntu Linux, MythTV, and commodity mini-ITX hardware with a Hauppauge capture card. The PVR doubles as a small, quiet livingroom computer.

Nice...I've actually been thinking about building an HTPC for a while now. The length and quantity of commercials on TV right now is quite awful. With a really cheap tuner card (I picked up a Leadtek Wintv 2000 card for $14 off of newegg) I figured up that I could build a cheap machine for $200-300.
I don't know about the via processor in this rig though.

I would rather go for a Pentium M cpu as they are supported on some mini-ITX boards. Only thing is cost would go up.
