new applet idea

Hello friends..

i dont know if there is anything like that, but its an idea than i came with that i think its helpful.

My idea is to have an applet that shows an icon on the panel and when you press it it shows a smaller panel with a places to put shortcuts icons. the image says it all.



so what do u think? and is it possible ?

That's what the "Drawer" applet does except the icons are displayed vertically instead of horizontally like in your screenshot... try it.

thanks for letting me know. its exactly what i had in mind. it would be nice tho if we can make it horizontally.

Maybe you can extend the Drawer to make it horizontal? It would make for a fun little project.

that would be a great idea, i use cairo-dock for something similar.

i have 2 rainbow & 1 flat. i undid the transparency a little on the last so you an see better.
