Hi,

I released a new version of LodePaint on Sourceforge (here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/lodepaint/).

It's a painting program, for pixel art, HDR images, textures, and more.

I'm wondering how well it runs on other people's PC's currently?

I'm also interested in any comments or idea by people. What do you think of this project?

To install, just unzip the zip from Ubuntu and run the "lodepaint" binary. Or alternatively, get the source code and build it.

Anyone?

If you need a painting program sometimes, it might be worth it to try this.

Thanks.

Looks alright, but the icons kinda annoy me.

What does this application have that GIMP needs?

What does this application have that GIMP needs?

It fills some gaps that Gimp doesn't have here and there. It's made more tailored for pixel editing (rather than publishing) with such things as a color per mouse button, arrow keys that move the mouse one pixel and such. It's easier to see the exact RGB value of the color of each pixel, and such.

It's got a totally different philosophy than Gimp, so that it can be complementary to it.
