which package to install to read & write smartcard and CF disks?

apt-cache search gives not hints :(

It should show up as a standard removable drive. If it doesn't, then Ubuntu probably doesn't recognize your card reader.

it is strange sicne it is a recent kernel
shall not I do apt-get install smartcard ?
