How do I rip a dvd to mpeg?

Hello,

I have a DVD of which has been created for me, I want to rip the content so I can play bits of it on my website.

How do I go about ripping the DVD to mpeg format?

I have tried using k9copy but even though the application looks to be doing things I can't seem to see the finished file.

My DVD has about 11 chapters. Is there a way to merge them all into one mpeg file?

Check out DVD::rip. It's available through the software centre.
