View Full Version : [ubuntu] Losing Network Connection on restart

May 24th, 2010, 04:39 AM
OK. I was running 9.x with no problems. I upgraded to 10.x when it was released. Now, whenever I restart my computer, my "wired network connection 'Auto eth1'" is disabled by default. I have to right click, choose Enable, then restart in order to have a network connection. Doing this automatically works every time.

What did I do wrong? Is there some setting to fix this? Please talk to me like a I'm a 4 year old because I don't know what I'm doing. I've used Ubuntu for awhile but only for fun ... I don't know the inner workings.

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Right click the connections applet and click edit connections.

If you edit the connection in the top left hand of the config panel there is a tick box for Connect Automatically - is it ticked?
