How to make Folders appear in "menu-style"?

I'm looking to see if Ubuntu supports this feature that is available in Windows. In Windows, I can access my "Documents" or other folder using the same style as a menu for instance from the "Start" button or other toolbars. Can Ubuntu be configured like that? I'm using 10.04 LTS with default desktop environment. thanks

I don't think the gnome-panel has such ability, but you may try GLX-Dock which has such a useful applet called "Quick-browser"
