Well im having little problems with my desktop... its kinda glitchy.. Im not completely new to UBUNTU ive been using it for a wile but i dint have internet in my house so i just had 7.04 now i just reformated my whole computer and added UBUNTU 10.4.

Great OS i think the best ive worked with so far. But im having a few problems with my desktop.

My Internet connection button on the front panel is missing and was replaced with a MUTE VOLUME ICON......

My Power On/Off button was replaced with EN .... i have no idea what EN stands for but... even if i press on it nothing happens...... I seem to be having problems with this little stuff... I installed the nvidia driver no problem... and i updated my system up to date...

I try recovery console to restore broken packages BUT NOTHING !!!!!

is there a command to fix all desktop enviroment?

Sorry for my bad English is not my first language.

en stands for english
you can change the language from that button.

your question isn't really clear
i think that you aren't used to the new layout
explore it and you'll get used to it.
