Hey I upgraded to 10.04 and I can not change pictures on Ubuntu 10.04 it stays on black background and there is no picture when I click on it any help???

You can't go to system>appearances and change it?

no i have it on a picture right now and all it is showing is black and I tried with different pictures

Have you tied looking in your usr/share/backgrounds.Just to see if theres anything in there..thats were your default wallpapers are at.or maybe try installing "nautilus wallpapers" from you synaptic,so you can right click and set as wallpaper.hope this helps...
