OK, so I rummaged a bit, ran a search on the forums, but found nothing that addresses this issue, so here it is:
I am seriously annoyed by the inability to copy, move or delete files when a "black diamond question mark" shows up as an unreadable character in a filename. Rarely, I am able to edit/rename the filename, but this is inconsistent and does not always work.

For an example of what I mean, check this URL: http://blogulate.com/content/ff-config-trimonminimize-makes-restore-slower/

Scroll down to the first response post and have a look. If what you see is rows of question marks, then you have the same problem. If that shows as readable text to you PLEASE tell me what your "character set" setting is!

Anybody know how to fix this? I'm fairly certain it is NOT a "locale" problem, but I would sure like to get a solution!

Thanks,
CT
