I just completed a fresh installation of Xubuntu 10.04.
As usual, the panels 'disappeared'. I did the usual xfce4-panel in Terminal and also added this to the Session & Startup too.
After rebooting, my desktop icons are not visible and I cannot put anything on my desktop. The shortcut feature is also 'locked' out.
Under the desktop settings, the icon boxes are checked.
Any ideas as to why the desktop is not available?
