I recently installed Ubuntu 10.04 on my laptop. I used the alt instal because the graphic instal never booted (it installed on my desktop, but not my laptop) I was sure this was because of the graphics card ( Intel GMA 900) and when I reboot, I get nothing. Edited grub to i915.modeset=1 and it logs in in "low graphics mode" but in 9.10, I could enable compiz. Any suggestions?
