Hi,
I recently upgraded to 10.04 (clean install) from 9.10.
Everything works fine, except for a few compiz effects. Desktop cube and rotate cube are perfect as are the animations for windows etc.
However, with some of the more demanding effects such as paint fire and the rain effect - the result is that the screen goes dark and freezes until the effect is over.
I am using an ATI Raedon HD 4350 and the driver installed fine.
I never had any problems with any of the effects in 9.10. They were all smooth and perfect. Just these few effects in 10.04 wont seem to work.
Is this an issue with 10.04 and the ATI drivers and do you think that a fix will be released soon? I have had to reinstall 9.10 and hope that a fix will be made available before I can upgrade to 10.04.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
