Perhaps this is only coincidental but I ran my updates today and then rebooted and my sound was gone. So I rebooted again and the sound was working fine but now the desktop backgrounds won't show up, instead there is a uniform color. When I try changing the background, the uniform color changes to a thematic hue similar to the background option such as green for the default picture of the tree. Any idea what's going on?
