I tried the site but I always get like 1 file error. Does anyone know another place to download it? I used the torrent on the site as well. Thanks.

Exactly what error? When downloading? installing? running livecd?

Get torrent from here (http://lubuntu.net/blog/lubuntu-1004-now-available-download).

I downloaded that and was able to install it into a virtual machine no problem.

Have you tried installing without bothering to check for defects?
Or is something preventing that from happening, so you check for defects and it finds some?

It goes REALLY slow.

The direct link is slow, the torrents are the better way to go. There does appear to be a glitch in the "Check CD for defects", you can manually check both the iso and the cd by following a quick set of notes that I put together.

The md5checksum on that link is for the stable beta (i.e. the current release called lubuntu-10.04.iso).
