I'm trying to install Lucid on my ACER 5920g, but it gets stuck after chosing the right keyboard layout. I waited 15 minutes and nothing. Anyone ran into this as well..?

It's a laptop, I have no other drives installed, and never ran into this issue with either Jaunty nor Karmic.

EDIT: It's been an hour and still nothing. I tried a few times, to no avail. I re-downloaded the ISO, rechecked the md5sum, re-put the image on the newly formatted USB stick, and still the exact same issue.

ARGH still nothing... just wouldn't go past the Keyboard screen.

Have similar issue. Lucid install is stuck at partitioning on Acer 5920g.

Aaand it's the same exact thing with a live CD. :/

Still the same problem... I installed it on a friend's desktop meanwhile and it worked 100%, but it won't go past the keyboard choice on my laptop :(

Still the same problem... Tried everything I think, no external drives or SD card plugged in, and still not installing. Just freezes when I press 'next' on the keyboard choice screen.

I'm having the same problem. Windows crashed completely on my friends Acer Aspire. I suspect the hard drive was too full. I make the keyboard choice and hit ENTER and the partition editor starts scanning, but it finishes only to remain at the Keyboard option menu. I tried a couple of previous distros back to 9,04 and still the same hang up. I am not giving up! I shall overcome!:P

I did read on another post that trying with a different brand of usb flash drive could help, so I did and it worked for me
