What's your favorite news source?

Right now I've started reading Yahoo News, for a few months now. I used to read the New York Times, but it came across as too partisan for me (and I was turned off by TimesSelect too), I still check it sometimes. I used to like Slate too, but grew tired of the sensationalism.

I hate cnn.com and foxnews.com, I can't make sense out of google news, and I've never found BBC news very appealing or relevant (I live in Arizona). I stay away from network news sites (ABCNews, CBS, MSNBC) because they're second rate.

I also subscribe to about 200 or so various news/blog feeds on bloglines that I just skim. I don't read boingboing, digg, or slashdot. Well I read digg when I'm bored to see what the trolls are saying, that's about it.

For news, it's mainly news.bbc.co.uk and the otherwise the local paper. I read wikipedia and occationally that mainpage breaks some news to me, but I don't read it for the news.

Blogs, quite many; especially rocketboom and boing boing, nothing unique at all there I guess.

I have rss feeds for newsforge and linux.com which I read when interesting articles come up, eg My sysadmin toolbox or my desktop os...

I don't really read news that much..

[edit] I can't get used to the mainstream stuff like slashdot, digg, or similar but, I have hackaday.com in my daily open for firefox though I don't read it everyday..

Not really a readable source, I guess, but I'm a big NPR fan. I do occasionally glance over Google News, and there are specific sites like Digg that I read for technical news or news relating to political issues that interest me (the Advocate, etc.), but for general news, I stream NPR's All Things Considered, most days, and sometimes Morning Edition, as well, depending on when I get up.

Depends on what kind of news. I have RSS feeds for these
1. Technology/Computer related news - news.com
2. Linux/FLOSS news - Linux.com, DesktopLinux.com, Linux-watch.com, and Groklaw.net (why doesn't Linux.org have an RSS feed?)
3. Ubuntu - Ubuntu fridge (the main Ubuntu page news hasn't been updated in months)
4. Kubuntu - Kubuntu main page
5. KDE - dot.kde.org, Planet KDE, and the blogs of the kde devs.
6. For all other news... I read the papers and watch TV. BBC and Channel News Asia mostly.

I've been going to news.myway.com and www.cnn.com for political and world news. NPR is constantly on to and from work. I have FoxNews taken out of the available channels on my TV (although I don't watch much anyway).

Homepage on my browser is set to BBC and I use that for my ongoing "news" fix.

I also use Liferea for RSS feeds and I have loads of Linux and FLOSS sites (LXer, distrowatch, slashdot etc). I usually open that once a day and have a browse.

I have 2 bookmarks of google news in my ff toolbar, one for the dutch google news searching keywords linux, one for the english google earth searching linux :wink: This way I keep track of all the sites(newsforge, slashdot etc.) cuz the interesting news will always show up in the search results. I check it every day (among with distrowatch and ubuntu forums) :)
