Hi!
After fresh install of ubuntu 10.04 and after typing username and password I see my wallpaper and it needs about 10-15 sec to see my icons. While I see wallpaper I also see that startup programs are being running (guake).
I tried:
to un-mark all startup programs
intel cards freezes at startup https://wiki.ubuntu.com/X/Bugs/Lucidi8xxFreezes
removed compiz
and it didn't help.
I've spent few hours trying to solve this problem and no effects :{
