Ubuntu 10.4 LTS Lucid Lynx was a great improvement over previous relseases, especially from the point of view of user-friendliness and ease of use for those migrating from Windows. However, it came out with one major flaw: look in the Networking forum, you will see the amount of traffic about wireless connection issues.

Heard in the Launchpad forum that it's been fixed in 10.10.

May to October might be a long wait for some of us, but let's hope that Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick Meerkat https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MaverickMeerkat

will be perfect, or as close to perfection as one could hope for ... in this imperfect world.

it will be truly auspicious if it is indeed released on the due date of 'double ten'

Anyone interested in numerology? <*chuckle*>:
10.10 released on 10/10/10?
... Ok. Mr. Shuttleworth, hope your lottery ticket wins!
