I was wondering if anyone was familiar with this C++ library: http://clam-project.org/index.html. I added it to my repositories list, but wanted to know if anyone thought it was unsafe to install.

Edit: Also, are there any licensing issues? I haven't found its license yet and I'm not very good at interpreting them.

Haven't used it, but didn't take too long to notice that it's GPL'd.

Essentially, that means that if you create a derivative work (such as software that incorporates it or parts thereof), and you redistribute that work, you must also license that work under the GPL and provide access to the source code of the work you wrote.

Okay, excellent. I have a question about GPL software, but I will ask it in another thread. I haven't read through the GPL license yet, I should probably do that.

Edit: Actually, CLAM's site appears to sum up the GPL pretty well... of course, I haven't read the GPL so how would I know.
