gateway 7330gz, no sound
no workingCD, no boot from USB
I've done various installs by
using a HDD adapter & my pc using live cd's burned from bit torrent files
10.04 freezes after the restart
I did a 8.04 install
I left an empty 40g partition
I been trying to use unetbootin
I either don't get a file at grub boot
or get stuck during the partitioning process of the install [mint]
{ I get stuck in a loop of either no mountpoint, or if I reformat & name / , asks me to unmount sda6 (active partition), ocasionally asking me to unmount the cd, which isn't even plugged in}
I'm unclear why sda1 [empty 40g] no named mountpoint
I can go to gparted & see the partitions
but don't see a way to rename the mountpoint
I've done a couple of updates to 9.10
I had a gone all the way to 10.04 during a different install, froze after the restart just like when I did it directly
