Personal workstation. I do not work in the computer field and am stuck having to use XP at work. It is interesting that we have to use XP at our desks but our servers are unix.

You should try hoary and throw back some bugs. The devs might help work with you to get it to work.

You have a point there, I was going to download the next snapshot and give it a try. Its a matter of finding time ,What with preparing to move into my new home, work. and general lazyness . But yes if its a wet weekend I will give it a go .

Personal desktop - would love to use it professionally, but multinational corporations don't generally appreciate their employees spurning their massive investments in Microsoft.

Personal Laptop.
As with some others here, I have to use XP at work (which I am not really happy with).
There are a great many features of linux which I love but can't use because I am stuck using XP for a few products I have to use day to day. The funny thing is, one of them uses ActiveX features in Internet Explorer to work. People call me not being able to use it and I have to tell them to turn down their security settings! ](*,)

Now if I can just get this stupid internal wireless card running!
