View Full Version : [ubuntu] connect xdmcp when internet is not connected

I am using Ubuntu 8.10 on a machine which is used as a xdmcp server. I have thinclients which are connected to the 8.10 machine mentioned here. I have two ethernets on my ubuntu 8.10 machine. one is for the internet broadband connection and other is for local network connection (ThinClients). when sometimes my broadband connection is not working I am not able to connect to ubuntu 8.10 machine from my local ThinClients. But when I remove the dns entry from resolv.conf I am able to connect to ubuntu 8.10 successfully.
can I have any permanent solution so I don't have to remove dns resolv.conf entry every time my internet broadband is down.
