how to upgrade from 9.10/9.04 to 10.04 without internet

dear gurus

we do have cd rom of ubuntu gnome 10.04, could you guide if not internet available. offline how to upgrade from cd-rom

step by step guideline needed

as i found links tutorial which shows upgrade from internet

If you have 9.10, it is quite straight forward.

If you wish to upgrade from 9.10 -> 10.04 from CD, you will have to get the ubuntu alternate CD - not the live CD.

Boot into 9.10 (make sure you have upgraded everything), insert the alternate CD and there will be an option to upgrade from the CD, choose to perform the upgrade from the CD and not from the network.

No experience with upgrading from 9.04.
