Hi All
Have you ever wanted to know/ remember where that file was you installed but cant remember the name just the date was about a week ago?
Log files and installation log file/ reports?
What does Linux have as a reporting 'manager' of sorts?
Log file viewer - This does not seem to have installation logs??
I found one site that had a program called Install Log, but seemed to be a dead link. Synaptic has something called 'Paco' and 'Gpaco' however as I read it they only list after the program has been installed and then onwards? If I wanted to find what was installed 1 day prior to installing 'Paco' i would not be able to??
I hope this makes sense what I'm trying to find out - I need to have a easy to find, read, and make sense of what was installed on my system especially with programs that install from Synaptic's that do not install a shortcut command line on the Application Menu! #-o
Thanks
