I had a failed attempt at an upgrade to 10.04 but I know the error of my ways however before I go through it again does 10.04 still have the tools available for a dial-up connection, wvdial & gnome ppp?

You might want to read through the following before doing the install for details on dial-up and Lucid Lynx:

and

OK thanks. I always thought it was kind of weird and actually still is just not as bad that wvdial & gnome ppp weren't already installed. Kind of hard to download wvdial when you have no internet connection!!

Hi Silvertones,
wvdial and dependencies (not gnome-ppp) exist into LiveCD of LL desktop version.
Read about 'offline installation of wvdial (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=7245790)' and also post#20 (http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=9307966&postcount=20)

Regards,
George

That'll make it easier if I ever get it up and running.
