I did a clean install of Lucid 10.4 LTS. All went well with a couple of exceptions. My hdd led stays on all the time. It is not modulating, and it doesn't appear to actually be accessing the drive, just won't go out. Also, my DVD drives show up in Places>Computer, and give the proper info when looking at the properties sheet, however, neither of them will read cd's or DVD's, and can't see empty media to write to. Could someone point me in the right direction on how to go about solving this. I'm not a complete n00b, however I'm a little at a loss on this one. thank you in advance for anything you might be able to show me here! :)
