Upgrading GNOME

In Ubuntu 10.04, is there any way to upgrade GNOME from 2.30 to 2.30.1?

Sure: Wait for it to end up in the repositories. :p
Another way is to find someone maintaining a PPA with these updates. This isn't recommended, but if you're going to keep Lucid until its EOL, I think the repositories might catch up at some point.
